William E. Barfield, Jr., M.D. FACOG

William E. Barfield, Jr., M.D. has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology for 45+ years. A native of Augusta, Georgia, he graduated from the Citadel and then the Medical College of Georgia where he completed his residency. Dr. Barfield Jr. has delivered 10,000+ babies and now specializes in Gynecology exams, surgery, and infertility. He has special interests in hormonal management.

Dr. Barfield Jr. joined Augusta GYN (now OBGYN Partners of Augusta) in 1976 and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is the Chairman of the OBGYN Department at University Hospital. Dr. Barfield Jr. is the first co-recipient of the “Curly Award” that is given in the memory of Dr. W.G. “Curly” Watson, M.D. Dr. Barfield Jr. and his wife have three sons and six grandchildren.

Lucy Brantley, M.D.

Lucy Brantley, MD joined OBGYN Partners of Augusta in 2020. She is a Georgia native having grown up in Atlanta, receiving a bachelors degree in Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), and earning her MD from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University where she also completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Brantley values patient education and shared decision making. She is passionate about taking care of women in all stages of life. Dr. Brantley’s special interests include general obstetrics and minimally invasive approaches to gynecologic surgery including urinary incontinence procedures, pelvic floor disorders, and daVinci robotics.

Dr. Brantley and her husband have three children. Her free time is consumed with motherhood, traveling, fine dining, and exercise.

D. Scott Burns, M.D. FACOG

Scott Burns, M.D. joined Augusta GYN in 2003 (now OBGYN Partners of Augusta) having graduated from Haverford College and Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and completing his residency at the Medical College of Georgia.

A native of Reading, Pennsylvania, he is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Burns and his wife have three children.

C. Kathy Chance, M.D. FACOG

Kathy Chance, M.D. has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology for over twenty years. A native of Athens, Georgia, she graduated from the University of Georgia and the Medical College of Georgia where she completed her residency.

Dr. Chance is a very involved physician and takes time to partner with and educate her patients, so they can make informed decisions regarding their healthcare. Dr. Chance has special interests in adolescent care, contraception management, preventative health care, and hormone replacement therapy. Dr. Chance specializes in abdominal, laparoscopic, and hysteroscopic surgery, and endometrial ablation.

Dr. Chance joined Augusta GYN in 1995 (now OBGYN Partners of Augusta) and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Chance and her husband have been married for over 20 years. Together they have 4 children, 3 sons and a daughter. She has been active in many aspects of the community since 1987 and enjoys playing tennis in her free time.

Gregory C. Cook, M.D. FACOG

Gregory C. Cook, M.D. has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology for more than 33 years. A native of Tucker, Georgia, he graduated from the University of Georgia and then the Medical College of Georgia where he completed his residency.

Dr. Cook joined Augusta GYN in 1989 (now OBGYN Partners of Augusta) and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Cook and his wife have eight children. They enjoy traveling, fine dining, and cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs

Dr. Dalal Eldick, M.D. FACOG

Dalal Eldick, M.D. FACOG joined OBGYN Partners of Augusta in 2018. She is a south Florida girl with a southern charm. After completing high school as valedictorian, she attended undergrad at the University of Miami where she majored in Neuroscience. She then continued her journey as a Miami Hurricane and went to medical school and completed OB/GYN residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Health system. She has a special interest in general and high-risk pregnancy, as well as minimally invasive gynecology. She is well versed in robotic, open, laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and other technologies to best serve her patients as an innovative surgeon. When she’s not in the office seeing patients, you can find her on the river paddle boarding with her husband Oz or hiking with her dogs Layla and Luna.

Dr. Taylor Jones, M.D.

Taylor Mitchell Jones, MD joined OBGYN Partners of Augusta in 2023. She is a native of Augusta, GA where she graduated with honors from John S. Davidson Fine Arts. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Furman University. She matriculated to the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville. Her passion for women’s health led her to specialize in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed residency at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, where she served as the Wellness Chair and Diversity and Inclusion Representative and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She was awarded the Wallace D. Mays Intern of the Year Award, Society for MFM Resident Award, Bob Stager Excellence in Medicine Award, and many student teaching awards.

She is passionate about taking care of women in all stages of life. She enjoys getting to know her patients so they can partner together to make informed decisions about their healthcare. Her special interests include adolescent health care, general and high-risk obstetrics, and minimally invasive approaches to gynecologic surgery.

When she is not working, she enjoys attending concerts, exercising, and traveling abroad with her husband.

John P. McDonough, M.D. FACOG

John P. McDonough, M.D. joined OB/GYN Associates of Augusta (now OBGYN Partners of Augusta) in 2006. After graduating from medical school at the Medical College of Georgia, he moved to Maryland where he completed his OB/GYN residency at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. While there he served as Chief Administrative resident from 1997-1998. He then joined Annapolis OB/GYN, a busy private practice in Annapolis, Maryland where he developed his interest in advanced laparoscopic gynecologic surgery.

In 2004 Dr. McDonough and his wife returned to Augusta with their three children. He worked as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Georgia before joining OB/GYN Associates of Augusta. He has maintained his dedication to academic medicine and to teaching medical students and residents by remaining a Clinical Professor at Augusta University Medical Center (formerly MCG). Dr. McDonough’s areas of interest include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery including da Vinci Robotic surgery, operative hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, general obstetric care, and preventative medicine. He also enjoys working with peri menopausal and post menopausal women. His practice goal is to provide excellent patient care utilizing new and innovative technologies.
Dr. McDonough is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. McDonough enjoys tennis, running, reading, and traveling. Dr. McDonough and his wife have 3 children.

Michel M. McDonough, M.D. FACOG

Michel McDonough, M.D. joined OB/GYN Associates of Augusta (now OBGYN Partners of Augusta) in 1995 having graduated from the University of Georgia and the Medical College of Georgia where he completed his medical school and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

His interests include general and high risk obstetrics. He is also trained in minimally invasive surgery allowing patients a rapid return to work and family.

Dr. McDonough is trained in some of the most advanced surgical procedures including robotic surgery, however he has not let technology get in the way of taking the time to sit and listen to his patients.

In addition to his duties with OBGYN Partners of Augusta, he is an associate clinical professor at Augusta University Health where he is involved in training our future obstetricians and gynecologists.

Dr. McDonough is a native of Augusta, Georgia where he resides with his wife and their three children.

Jennifer B. Morgan, M.D. FACOG

Jennifer B. Morgan, M.D. joined Augusta GYN in 2003 (now OBGYN Partners of Augusta) having graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Medical College of Georgia where she completed her residency.

A native of Covington, Georgia she is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Morgan and her husband have four children.

Carla Morgan-Gibbs, M.D. FACOG

Carla Morgan-Gibbs, M.D. moved to the Augusta area after living in North Carolina. She is a graduate of East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina where she received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry. She then attended medical school at East Carolina University where she obtained her Doctor of Medicine in May 1987. Dr. Morgan-Gibbs did her residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. She has been in private practice in the Augusta area for 25+ years. Dr. Morgan-Gibbs is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Special Interests include; adolescent gynecology, infertility, menopausal management, and laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Morgan-Gibbs is currently practicing Gynecology care after 24 years of Obstetrical practice! Dr. Morgan-Gibbs is excited about this transition in her practice and is devoted to Women’s care and Women’s health.

Kelly P. Norman, M.D. FACOG

Kelly P. Norman, M.D. joined Augusta GYN in 2006 (now OBGYN Partners of Augusta). She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Medical College of Georgia. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

A native of Augusta, GA, she is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Norman and her husband have three children.

JulieAnn Parker, M.D. FACOG

JulieAnn Parker, M.D. has been in private practice with OGA since 2010 (now OBGYN Partners of Augusta). Dr. Parker has an undergraduate degree from Samford University. She then attended medical school at Medical College of Georgia where she obtained her Doctor of Medicine and completed her residency. While Dr. Parker’s roots are in nearby Marietta, Georgia, she has made Augusta her home. Dr. Parker special interests include pediatric and adolescent gynecology, contraception, and minimally invasive hysterectomy.

Dr. Parker is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She resides in Evans with her husband and their three children.

Tania Serrano, M.D. FACOG, NCMP

Before moving to Augusta, GA, Dr. Tania Serrano practiced in Ft. Pierce, Florida. She received her Doctor of Medicine from Howard University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Serrano completed her OB/GYN residency at Texas Tech Health Science Center in Odessa, Texas. Previously she completed 3 years of General Surgery residency at New York Medical college. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Serrano is one of the few OB/GYN providers in the CSRA that manage pediatric and adolescent gynecology patients. Her achievements include the completion of the requirements and examination for the American Board of OBGYN practice focused designation in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. She is a National Menopause Certified Practitioner and has an interest in assisting her patients in navigating the years prior, during and after menopause in a holistic manner, this includes; hormone replacement therapy, Bioidentical hormones and Pellet therapy. She has a strong surgical background with many years of experience. Her proficiencies include, minimally invasive surgeries such as ablations, hysteroscopies and laparoscopies. She has attained the American Board of OB/GYN practice focused designation in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dr. Serrano’s goal is to manage her patient’s symptoms in the most effective, safe and least invasive manner. She partners with patients through every stage of their life and delivers evidenced based recommendations and treatments to promote the best outcomes.

Lindsey Tingen, M.D. FACOG

Lindsey Tingen, MD joined OBGYN Partners of Augusta in 2022. Originally from Marietta, GA she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) and her medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia. She then completed her residency in Ob/Gyn at Greenville Health System in Greenville, SC. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has been practicing in Greenville since residency completion and is looking forward to returning to the Augusta area to serve the women of the CSRA! She is passionate about collaborating with her patients to achieve the best possible outcomes. She enjoys taking care of women through all aspects of life with special interest in general and high-risk pregnancy, contraceptive options and surgical management.

She and her husband have one daughter as well as two pets. When she is not working, she enjoys fellowship with friends and family, enjoying outdoor activities at the Augusta Canal or Savannah River or inside activities including cooking, crafting, or reading a book!

George Williams, M.D. FACOG

George Williams, Jr. M.D. was born in Douglas, Georgia and now resides in Augusta. He received his Bachelor of Arts-Chemistry at Emory University, then attended the Medical College of Georgia to obtain his Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Williams joined OB/GYN Associates of Augusta (now OBGYN Partners of Augusta) in 1990.

Dr. Williams is Board Certified and a Fellow in the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He was nominated to Best Doctors and received Teacher of the Year Award while on the clinical facility of MCG (now Augusta University Medical Center). He has state licenses in Georgia and South Carolina. Dr. Williams special interests include pellet/hormone therapy. Dr. Williams has two children and a granddaughter.

Taylor Safford, NP

Taylor Safford, NP joined OBGYN Partners of Augusta in 2020. She received her Bachelor’s in  Nursing from Augusta University, then later graduated with her Master’s in Family Nurse Practitioner from the Chamberlain College of Nursing. She is certified under The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Over the past five years, Taylor has worked as a registered nurse at University Health’s Women’s Center Operating Room. She is excited to continue her passion for women’s health to provide quality patient care.

Taylor and her husband live in Augusta, GA with their two daughters.
